From first text to paid, every step is a text.

Here's the full arc of working one event, from your side of the screen. You never open an app. How you get booked depends on your role. Then, once game day arrives, the experience is the same for everyone.

First, you get booked, and that part looks a little different by role.

1–2 weeks out

Teddy asks for your availability

A week or two before the event, Teddy texts to ask when you can work. For each day, reply with one of four simple options.

Assignments

Your games are assigned

The assignor reviews everyone's availability and builds the schedule. Teddy sends your assignments and asks you to accept (1) or reject (2).

Confirmed

A calendar invite lands

Accept, and Teddy sends a calendar invite link with your games. Tap once to save it to your phone.

For Coaches, Athletic Trainers & Event Staff
Weeks–months out

A stipend opportunity opens

Teddy tells you about a new stipend opportunity and asks if you're interested. Say yes and your interest goes to the tournament director, who reviews it against the event's needs and may send you an offer to work.

Your event reminder arrives

A week before, Teddy sends a reminder with your event details link: arrival time, location, schedule, and everything else in one place. Can't make it? Reply UNABLE.

From here on, game day works the same for everyone.

Before your shift

Your check in link arrives

About 30 minutes before your shift (officials: 15 minutes before your first game), Teddy sends your check in link. Tap it when you arrive, or just text CHECKIN. Not checked in yet? Reminders follow at 30 and 60 minutes.

End of day

Check out in one tap

A check out link arrives when your day wraps. Tap it, or text DONE, and your hours log automatically. Officials don't need to check out.

Multi-day events

Check in and out each day

Working more than one day? Teddy prompts you to check in and out on every day you're scheduled for your stipend.

Last day

A 60-second survey

Coaches get 8 quick questions over text when they check out on the last day, mostly tapping a number 1–5. Your feedback actually shapes the next event.

After the event

You get paid

Connect your payment account once in your staff portal. When the organizer sends your payment, Teddy texts you. Allow 1 to 2 business days for it to reach your bank.
